All you Need to Know about a Buyout 

Sometimes, taking over an entire restaurant to celebrate yourself or someone you loves seems a bit OTT as the British are likely to say..but by jove, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it.. in fact it’s a very clever thing to do!

(By the way, in case you were not sure what OTT means is stands for “Over the Top”)

A buyout at Crown & Crumpet will assure you and your guests are so well taken care of and will have so much fun and a most delicious experience that they may never want to leave! You can celebrate just about anything, a significant birthday, a bridal or baby shower, a book launch, a Thank you party or a business meeting.. we have even hosted Celebrations of Life!  Whatever your heart’s desire. A buyout consists of taking over the whole of Crown & Crumpet for two hours for Afternoon Tea at any time of day. We can do a Breakfast Tea, Afternoon Tea at Lunch time or the classic time of the Afternoon.. even an evening Tea time! Lets get creative, we love thinking out of the tea box! Weekend buyouts include a rental fee, food and drink costs and little extras like party favours, a crown for the guest of honour, decorations and much more.

We take care of everything!

A weekend buyout (Saturday or Sunday) rental cost is $1200 + food  ($48.00 per person+ service & tax) for  the front of the cafe and the garden. A weekday buyout rental cost is $800 for the same area. The party is for two hours and an extra hour is available for an add on fee of $300.00

For indoor dining, our small dining room is available and  you have use of the whole room for a rental fee of $600.00 + food ($48.00 per person + service & tax)  A weekday fee is $400.00. The party is for two hours but an extra hour can be added for a fee of $200.00

Excluding the month of December when the fee goes up to $ 800.00 for the indoor dining room.

Minimums:

In the garden, a buyout requires a minimum of 20 people and  maximum of 40 for a “sit down” Afternoon Tea Party. For a Buffet style Afternoon Tea Party the minimum is 20 people and up to 60 people. 

In the Indoor Dining Room a minimum of 10 people with a maximum of 18 people is required.

-A service charge of 20% is added to all parties 

-A deposit is required at the time of booking
